Blueprint

Stout Model 11,
2 Place Cabin Monoplane

One blueprint drawing entitled "Stout Model 11, 2 Place Cabin Monoplane." The drawing shows top, front, and side views of a proposed 2-passenger, rear-engine airplane. A table in the right center area of the sheet shows a summary principal dimensions. A bar scale indicates that the drawing is shown at a scale of 6 inches = 10 feet. It is signed in pencil in the lower right corner of the sheet "WBS [William Bushnell Stout], Dec. 2 - 38."

The verso shows an incomplete pencil sketch of the body and one wing of an airplane. The name, "Skycar I," is shown in pencil on the plan sheet. The airplane body does not show any wheels and its nose and underbody resemble that of a seaplane. A black ink stamp in the lower left corner shows "Macauley & Madison, Inc., Detroit. Blue Prints, Photostats, Mounting, Everything for the Drafting Room." The sketch is signed "WBS [William Bushnell Stout], Dec. 2 - 30."
