One large account ledger book from the Fred Sanders Company of Detroit. The hardcover book has simulated black leather covers on the front and back with red leather along the spine and at the outer corners for reinforcement. The book contains 151 pages that have light red and blue pre-printed lines for rows and columns. Main column headings include "Sales," " Expense," and "Sundry Purchases" with additional sub-headings for "Up Town" and "Down Town" stores. The headings carry across both page surfaces of the open book and the two page surfaces are assigned the same page number. Handwritten account entries are shown in black ink by date with dates ranging from February 12, 1918, (page 1) through February 28, 1919 (page 142). Pages 143 through 151 are blank.
