Deathlok #1
First issue of the Deathlok on-going comic book series, written by Dwayne McDuffie, and based upon a character co-created by Rich Buckler. This issue was published by Marvel Comics, and released in July of 1991. In this story, titled "The Wolf at the Door," the cyborg Deathlok begins a quest for the whereabouts of his captive human body, and in defiance of his programming, shows mercy to a killer cybernetic dog.
