One hardcover commemorative book entitled on the spine, "Jewish Life and Culture in Detroit Exhibit, Detroit Historical Museum; Dec. 12, 1954 to Jan. 23, 1955." The book has a red cloth cover and red leather spine with the title shown in gold lettering. The inside pages are arranged like a scrapbook with letters from various cultural institutions from across the United States to Henry D. Brown, Director of the Detroit Historical Museum. The institutions offered compliments to the Detroit Historical Museum on their exhibit guide and interest in seeing the exhibit. A handwritten note on the first page shows "To Henry Brown - In appreciation for a magnificent job of public relations - Leonard N. Simons, Vice President, Detroit Historical Commission, 4/29/55."
