Booklet

Booklet published by the Detroit News, c. 1931, likely as a presentation to potential advertisers to convince them of the benefits of advertising in the Detroit News. The pages of the booklet feature images of the audiences for Detroit News presentations and excerpts from various sections of the newspaper, each with a caption describing the event or column. The final page features a list of the numbers and categories of voluntary reader interest letters the News received during the previous year. The pages are bound with metal fasteners.

The inside of the back cover of the booklet features an insert of a supplemental booklet with the title "The Detroit News Reader Interest Presentation." The supplement is full text and contains a paragraph for each page of the larger booklet, describing in greater detail how the images are representative of reader interest and advertiser opportunities in the Detroit News.
