Booklet published by the Detroit News, "75 Years of Public Service," in 1948. The booklet features 28 pages of both text and black and white images. The images depict the various buildings occupied by the Detroit News throughout its history, in addition to photographs of its founder, James E. Scripps, and a photograph of the at time directors of the Detroit News. The text of the booklet contains reprints of articles published in the Detroit News between August 16-22, 1948, summarized as follows by the booklet's foreword:

"Herein, The Detroit News republishes a series of seven articles which first appeared in its "Town Talk" column, August 16-22, 1948, as a commemorative prelude to a quiet observance of the newspaper's 75th anniversary. They were designed to acquaint the newspaper's readers with the early years of the endeavor through which it established itself in the regard of the community. The author, George W. Stark, a veteran of the editorial staff, is also President of the Historical Commission, and Historiographer of the City of Detroit."
