Proposed Development of Sugar Island

One softcover booklet entitled "Fact Book, Proposed Development of Sugar Island." The booklet has a heavyweight yellow paper cover with typewritten text for the title and two white plastic clips for a binding. It contains16 pages of typewritten text along with several black and white photographic images that give background information about the 35-acre island as well as a question and answer section concerning the proposed development. Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company acquired the island in 1948 and was looking at constructing a harbor and residential development on the island which was located off the southern end of Grosse Ile in the lower Detroit River. The booklet was prepared by "Dick Frederick, Public Relations Counsel" for "Dunbar & Sullivan, 2312 Buhl Building, Detroit 26, Michigan."
