The Message of the President, Freedom... Our Sacred Trust
8 page booklet from the 38th Annual Convention of Kiwanis International on June 22, 1953 in New York, New York containing a message from International President Walter J. L. Ray. In the message he praises the group and its growth. He also urges readers to "realize how far we have drifted away from the basic principles that made these nations great," and expresses concern over "what is going to happen to the individual if he continues to subordinate himself to group action." He also discusses the success of the groups non-partisan "Get Out the Vote" campaign during the 1952 election, the group's National Kids' Day. He also states the convention will discuss resolutions concerning "Communism, the Korean War, United Nations and Disarmament, Labor-Management, Conservation of Natural Resources, and questions relating to the inner workings of the Kiwanis organization." The booklet is bound in a blue cardstock cover.
