Brochure, "-'the man who owns one'," for the Packard Motor Car Company. The brochure is printed in black, red, blue and yellow on heavy blue-green paper. The front cover shows the Packard emblem at bottom left and a man sitting at a desk in the center. The back cover shows the Packard emblem, a banner with text reading "Ask the Man Who Owns One," and text reading "Packard Motor Car Co. - Detroit Branch / 574 E. Jefferson Ave. at St. Antoine Telephone Randolph 2460 / 8500 Woodward Ave. at Philadelphia Telephone: Empire 7123 / Detroit, Michigan." The contents of the brochure include illustrations showing a man and a woman reading questionnaires; Packard automobiles on busy streets with caption "68% of those who bought Packard cars in February and March of 1929 gave up other cars."; a pie chart demonstrating that "Gasoline, oil, tires, garage and license costs are no greater on a Packard and repairs cost less."; a Packard driving down a road marked "1929," "1930," "1931," "1932," and "1933" with caption "'A year to pay-five years to own' is a very conservative description of Packard ownership."; a man and a woman standing inside a Packard dealership with caption "'Once a Packard owner - always a Packard owner' is true 96 times out of every 100.; and a scale with a Packard on one side and coins and bills on the other with caption "Let us weigh the value of your used car - it may exceed the down payment on a new Packard Eight." Each page of the brochure has a banner along the bottom with text reading "You are Paying for a Packard - Why Not Have One?" and the text of the brochure argues that Packard ownership costs the same as owning cheaper cars.
