A Pompeiian Festival

A 4-page folded brochure which advertises the upcoming "A Pompeiian Festival." The festival was to be held at the Masonic Temple in Detroit and was to open in mid-January, 1901. The brochure is printed in blue ink on thin white paper and encourages the public to plan on seeing the elaborate re-creations of scenes from Pompeii before the volcanic eruption. The brochure indicates that "it will be a scene long to be remembered, full of interest, and of so much educational value that our public officials will proclaim it a misdemeanor not to see it."
