Card, Greeting

Christmas and New Years card sent by Takashi Nishiyama, mayor of Toyota city. A woodblock print of two geishas, one of them reading a book, is on the front of the card. Within the card is a photo captioned "Toyota-Detroit Sister City Exchange Program. Dr. Dawn Francis and six students visited Toyota in summer of 1980. Francis shakes the hand of Nishiyama, as the pair are flanked by the six students. The flags of Detroit and Toyota are hung on the wall in the background, and the flags of the United States and Japan are hung from floor stands. The card's message reads, "Best wishes for a merry Christmas and a happy New Year." It has been signed by Nishiyama.
