Card, Greeting
Greeting card containing a handwritten message from Helen L. Brown to a "Mrs. Thomas" concerning several book plates that were a gift for her husband Henry D. Brown. One of the plates is included with the card. The card bears an image of a snow-covered pine tree. The message reads:
January 24, 1978
Dear Mrs. Thomas
Since I have a number of the book plates you inquired about I am enclosing several.
How interesting that it may be included in someone's collection. Perhaps the collection would like a little information about its background.
A Detroit artist, William Biddleman designed it for me as a Christmas gift for my husband, so it is distinctive in its composition. I wish I could be sure of the year, but I'm only sure it was sometime in the middle 1960s.
It was so good hearing from you. I miss each and every one of your who were so much a part of our lives for so many years.
