The Pocket Signal Disk
One pocket-size reference tool entitled "The Pocket Signal Disk." The tool consist of two rotating discs that are sandwiched between two oval-shaped cards. The cards and discs are held together with two small rivets with one rivet being located at the center of each disc. Both sides of the card are printed in red and black text and have small cutouts for viewing the underlying discs. One side of the oval-shaped card shows semaphore flag positions for each letter of the alphabet and the other shows Morse Code symbols for letters and numbers. The rotating discs show color images of signal flags, semaphore flag positions, and the corresponding letter or text. The reference tool is held in a heavyweight paper sleeve that has blue printed text on the outside. It was manufactured by "The Standard Novelty Co." of La Jolla, California.
