Trade card from the Michigan Stove Company advertising Garland Stoves and Ranges. An illustration on the recto, credited to G.H. Buek and Company Lithoraphy of New York, depicts a laughing baby holding a spoon while seated in a high chair with a steaming cup of food on its tray. A caption reading "Even Baby Crows And Feels Glad At The Sight Of Our New Garland Stove So Cheerful and Bright" is found in the top right corner of the recto. A stamp reading "For Sale by F.J. Martz, 504 Gratiot Ave., Detroit, Mich., Dealers in Hardware" is located to the right side of the baby's image on the recto. On the verso is an advertisement for the "Art-Garland 1889" model stove, alongside an image of the stove, stressing the model's elaborate ornamentation.
