Honorary doctorate award to Henry Daniels Brown by Wayne State University on June 18, 1964. The text of the certificate is as follows:

"Upon the recommendation of The President and the Faculties of the University the Board of Governors hereby confers upon Henry Daniels Brown the degree Doctor of Humanities with all the rights, responsibilities and honors of this Degree."

The degree is stamped with the seal of Wayne State University and signed by then President of the University Clarence B. Hilberry and the Secretary of the Board of Governors James P. McCormick.
