Certificate
Certificate appointing Henry Brown as a member of the American Mid-Century Rededication Commission, dated February 6, 1950 and signed by Michigan governor G. Mennen Williams and secretary of state Fred M. Alger, Jr. The certificate is embossed and stamped with the Great Seal of the state of Michigan on the lower left. The text of the certificate is as follows:
"To all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting:
Know ye, That reposing special trust and confidence in the integrity and ability of Henry D. Brown In the Name and by the Authority of the People of the State of Michigan, I do appoint him member American Mid-Century Rededication Commission And I do hereby Authorize and Empower him to execute and fulfill the duties of that office according to law: to have and to hold the said office with all the rights, privileges and emoluments, thereto belonging.
Term expires at the pleasure of the governor
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed at Lansing, this sixth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifty and of the Independence of the United States of America the one hundred and seventy fourth.
