One Detroit Public Schools, Primary Grades "Certificate of Promotion" for Syster Ferguson. The certificate is printed in blue text on white paper and has a decorative blue border. Blank lines have been completed in handwritten black ink text. The certificate indicated that the student, Syster Ferguson, of the Duffield School was being promoted from Fourth Grade to Fifth Grade. It was signed by "S. McPherson, Teacher," and was dated January 27, 1893.
