State of Michigan certificate containing a special tribute to Joe Louis from the Senator Jackie Vaughn III on behalf of the Michigan Senate, on the occasion of Louis' admission into the Afro American Sports Hall of Fame. The certificate contains a brief history of Louis' career as well as several quotes. The document bears an embossed "Michigan State Senate, Special Tribute" gold foil seal and the signature of Vaughn, dated September 13, 1986.
