Check, printed by Corrie's Detroit Lithograph Offices, from the Banking House of Robert Hosie for $241.28 to E. W. Blatchford and Company, dated September 25, 1872. An image of City Hall is printed on the left side of the check, and a 2 cent Internal Revenue Service stamp is printed in the center. The verso signed "E.W. Blatchford & Co." and is stamped by the National Bank of Chicago, and the Bank of New York.
