The Detroit Bank
One check drawn on "The Detroit Bank" for $2.00 and payable to "Metropolitan Life Insurance Co." The check is dated May 26, 1938, and is signed by Ann Mayer Boyes. The check has perforations on three edges and is printed in black and red ink on slightly yellowed paper that has a faint security watermark. The stamp, "PAID, 5-28-38," has been punched through the center of the check and a black ink stamp that shows "Paid Through Detroit Clearing House" is shown on the verso.
