One Quit Claim Deed, number D289434, issued by Victor Hicks and Claudius Rowe to the Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company. The form is printed in black text on white paper that is watermarked "Burton Abstract & Title Co." Blank sections have been completed in black typewritten text and the subject land was described as "Private Claim 53, Township of Grosse Isle, Wayne County, Michigan, known as Sugar Island." On the verso, the deed was signed and sealed by the two landowners, two witnesses, and a notary public, and was dated September 24, 1948. The deed was recorded in Liber 9488, Page 624 at the Wayne County Register of Deeds Office on September 29, 1948.
