Motor Trips
One leather bound diary. The hardcover diary is bound in brown leather that is stamped, "Motor Trips," in gold-colored lettering on the front. The interior pages have gold-colored edges and are pre-printed with light red and blue horizontal and vertical lines along with column headings that show "Date, Journey, Miles, Time, Accompanied By, and Incidents." The diary includes a leather loop on the right side for a lead pencil that has been mostly unused. The un-named author has made handwritten notes in black and blue ink for various trips from Detroit to cities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York in 1923, 1924, and 1925. The records include details such as mileage and time as well as costs for hotels, meals, tolls, and gas. The diary contains approximately 140 pages and about 100 pages have been used. The author does not indicate what kind of car was driven on the trips.
