Lise Shirtz

I lived on the West sude of Detroit, near Telegraph and Schoolcraft. It was a neighborhood full of Detroit police officers and firemen and their familiies. My sad was a Detroit Police Sgt. at the time. I was 8 years old. I remember our dads being gone all day and night. I rememver our moms getting together and listening to the news. All of them where scared and worried that our fathers might get hurt. I remember us kids talking among ourselves, scared for our fathers and worried about our mothers. It was a very scary time.
