The Detroit Historical Museum will be closed Wednesday, November 26 and Thursday, November 27 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The museum will resume normal business hours on Friday.
I was 7 years old and I lived on the east side, Jefferson and Van Dyke area. Saving for my first bike, my mom opened an account for me at the local bank. The bank was robbed. My poor mom trying to explain to a 7 year old that yes the bank was robbed but my money was still there, at 7 I knew nothing about the FDIC.
