Report. A report entitled, Report and Recommendations for a Comprehensive Street Lighting Plan for the City of Detroit, Michigan prepared by the Illuminating Engineering Bureau of the Westinghouse Companies for Mayor Charles Bowles. The report is bound inside a brown, textured cover by two pins. It extols the benefits of proper streetlights, classifies nine different types of roads in the city, and proposes not only styles of streetlights but also their spacing for each. Each suggestion is accompanied with a glossy plate bearing an engraving of the proposed light bound between guard pages decorated with spider web motifs. It also suggests poles, and wiring.
