Drawing
One conceptual drawing of a proposed trailerable airplane. The drawing consists of black ink on heavy white art paper that shows five plan and profile views of a 3-engine airplane that can be collapsed and stored inside a small, truck-drawn trailer. The images have been tinted with light red and gray watercolors. A faint, incomplete pencil sketch of a propeller, wheel, and wing is shown at the center left side of the sheet. On the lower right side, the drawing was signed by the designer, "Wm. B. Stout, Feb. 7, 1941," in black ink and was witnessed by "Margery Truesdell" and "John F. Fisher." The airplane shown in this drawing is similar to the "Stout Sky Car" that is shown for object number 1948.149.145.
