The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows plan and profile views of a proposed dock at the edge of the Detroit River on the fort property. The details show a steel truss beam dock that is to by supported by oak pilings. Two location maps are shown near the lower left corner of the plan sheet. The title block in the lower right corner indicates that the drawing was prepared by the "U. S. Engineer Office, Detroit, Michigan," at a scale of 1:500 and is dated 23 March 1945. The plan was signed by "James C. Trelfa, Principal Engineer" and "Allison Miller, Col., Corps of Engineers."
