Hull No. 424, Capacity Arrangement and Data Sheet

One plan sheet entitled "Hull No. 424, Capacity Arrangement and Data Sheet." This drawing is a blackline reproduction that shows the drawing and text in black on a mylar plan sheet. It shows drawings of all of the decks and hold compartments for the proposed steamship, SS Richard M. Marshall, which was built for the Great Lakes Steamship Company. Tables are also shown for the principal vessel dimensions, cargo capacities, hold capacities, and tank capacities as well as general notes of the power machinery and other vessel equipment. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the plan was prepared by the "Defoe Shipbuilding Co., Bay City, Michigan," at a scale of 1/32 inch = 1 foot and is dated July 17, 1953. The drawing number is shown as "424-11-19." This vessel later became part of the Ford Motor Company fleet as the SS John Dykstra and also the SS Benson Ford.
