Plan sheet (1 of 4) entitled "Hull Plan" for the barquentine, James F. Joy. The ink drawing on light tan paper shows plan, profile, and cross-section views of the hull lines for the sailing vessel. A note in the title block indicates that the vessel was "Built 1886, Detroit, Michigan." The drawing was done at a scale of 1/8 inch = 1 foot for the Museum of Great Lakes History (later the Dossin Great Lakes Museum).
