Magnetic Observation Tent

One drawing entitled "Magnetic Observation Tent." The drawing consists of pencil on vellum paper and shows plan and profile views of a small square tent that could be used to protect survey equipment while making observations during poor weather. The tent has oak support poles with canvas sides and a canvas top. Plan dimensions indicate that the tent was designed to be 8.5 feet on each side at the base and 7.5 feet tall at the peak. The title block in the lower right corner indicates that the plan was prepared by the "U. S. Lake Survey, Detroit, Mich.," and is dated June 6, 1947.
