Engraving of a painting of the Detroit Observatory at the University of Michigan done by Jasper Francis Cropsey in 1855. The engraving shows the observatory and surrounding landscape, along with three people walking along the pathway to the observatory. Text underneath the lower left portion of the image reads "J.F. Cropsey N.A." Text underneath the lower right portion of the image reads "R. Leggett Sc." The engraving is printed on paper which is mounted on board.
