2nd Part - Our Trip to Bob-lo - 1952

Color 8mm film home movie shot by Harry Nutall containing footage shot during family trips, inclduing a trip to Boblo Island.

The film opens with footage shot in wooded rural areas on several occasions, including along the Clinton River near Yates Cider Mill. There are shows of children playing, a river, a small bridge, a complex with pink roofs and a field of blue plants, a playground, and Yates dam.

The trip to Boblo begins with footage shot at Civic Center Park and the Boblo dock. The camera captures a pair of docked naval ships, a railroad ferry, a pan across the skyline, the mail boat J.W. WESTCOTT II approaching a freighter, the passing Boblo boat COLUMBIA, a pan across the Ambassador Bridge, and several shots of pidgeons. From the Boblo boat, the camera films a small tour boat, the Veterans Memorial Building, Civic Center Park, a streetcar the Vernor's factory sign, the skyline, the Ambassador Bridge, an airplane, and passing boats including the other Boblo boat, and the barge MAIDA.

Upon reaching Boblo Nutall filmed the floral sign on the coast, a circle swing ride, the playground, and passing ships. The film concludes with a brief shot from return trip aboard a Boblo boat.

The film is on a 5" metal reel inside of a grey metal canister. A note taped to the lid of the tin includes the note "1952 - shot by Harry Nutall, dad of Richard Nutall," followed by a Lincoln Park address and phone numbers.
