16mm color workprint and synced magnetic audio track (excerpted from tape 2015.007.018) from the Sue Marx production, "This Is My Home, This Is Detroit," shot at Detroit Edison and GranDetroit's 1985 Bright and Beautiful block club contest. The Blue Pigs performs a several takes of the theme song "Detroit, My Home," before an audience. Afterward Detroit Edison president Charles M. Heidel introduces the event. He mentions the involvement of Detroit Edison, Keep Detroit Beautiful, and Project Pride, and recognizes the importance of the participants to the city's neighborhoods. After the introduction, plaques are handed out in a silent sequence. Charlie H. Smith, Jr. of Oakman Boulevard is one of the honorees.
