The reel begins with shots of Windsor Airport featuring the airport's sign in the foreground and the control tower in the background.
The camera then moves to Dieppe Gardens on Windsor's riverfront of a long series of shots featuring the river, the Detroit skyline, traffic on the river, and activity in Dieppe Gardens. These shots include a tugboat pushing a barge loaded with railroad cars up the Detroit River, pans back and forth across Detroit's riverfront from Joe Louis Arena to the Renaissance Center, another tug pushing another railroad car-laden barge up river, the National Steel Corporation freighter GEORGE A. STINSON, heading up river, the Upper Lakes Shipping Limited freighter CANADIAN TRANSPORT, a person in the park a person feeding seagulls, and the "French Settlement of the South Shore" Ontario Heritage Trust historical marker in the park.
From an elevated location above the corner of Second Avenue and West Grand Boulevard, the camera then gets several shots of the exterior of New Center One during the later phases of its construction. The camera pans back and forth from the West Grand Boulevard face of the Fisher Building, then east toward New Center One. It also zooms in on people crossing the street and walking along the sidewalk outside of the Fisher Building below. The camera then moves to the New Center Commons neighborhood for a shot of a sign promoting the development's model house. The sign declares "a great old neighborhood gets a new look."
At the campus of Wayne State University, the camera gets a shot of the statue of Hippocrates outside of Gordon H. Scott Hall of Basic Medical Sciences.
An exterior shot of Cadillac's Detroit Assembly plant on Clark Street comes next on the reel.
The final portion of the reel contains a series of shots centered on the Renaissance Center, as viewed from an elevated position to the northwest (likely Cadillac Tower), In addition to the Renaissance Center, the camera also pans up river toward Belle Isle, and catches a Canadian Steamship Lines freighter passing on the river behind the Ren Cen.
The film is contained on a plastic core within an Allied Film Labs bag. A label which came loose from the outside of the bag read, "City Rolls 58 & 59 9837 1 Roll." A label inside of the bag reads, "Urban Cz 139 3167 - 139 3961, C 95 45653 - 954 6449."
