16mm color workprint with synchronized magnetic audio from the Sue Marx production, "This is My Home, This is Detroit," consisting of shots of and interviews with Tom Benson, a uniformed police officer, and community volunteer Susan Hatfield at the Detroit Police Department's mini station 16 M 3 on Seven Mile Road in northwest Detroit. The pair help two children from Holcomb School with bike licenses, and discuss their work, interacting with neighborhood organizations, vehicle etching, educational outreach programs in schools, their neighborhood, and a recent call about a burglar. They also take a call concerning a stolen car during the filming. The video also includes shots of the exterior of the station and of a police car, as well as audio of street sounds. The clapboards are dated October 5, 1985, however the rolls are labeled October 7, 1985.
