16mm color workprint with synchronized magnetic audio from the Sue Marx production, "This Is My Home, This Is Detroit," containing footage of an older couple, Anna and John McDonald, interviewed about the Elmwood Three community, and of a group of kids, including Alford "Chicago Pete" Harrell's children performing "Detroit, My Home." The clapboards are dated October 6, 1985 however the rolls are labeled October 7, 1985.

In the first segment the McDonalds recline on the lawn of the Cityside Townhomes Apartments, with D. Bethune Duffield Elementary School in the background. The pair are interviewed about the Elmwood Three neighborhood; the former Black Bottom and Paradise Valley areas and their night clubs, concert halls, and musical acts; Belle Isle; Chene Park; and the Coleman A. Young Recreation Center. They compare the Elmwood Three to Black Bottom. Additionally, regarding Black Bottom and Paradise Valley, they make mention of the Club 666, the Paradise Theatre, Cookie's Restaurant, Peking, Ethel Waters, the Will Mastin Trio, the Stepbrothers, and Della Reese.

In the second portion of the footage, two girls playing a saxophone and a clarinet on the sidewalk of a residential street are joined by a boy playing drums, and eventually a chorus of other children in a rendition of the theme song "Detroit, My Home." Near the end of the reel, a group of adults join from the porch and driveway, and neighbors also come out to dance and watch.
