Indenture
One indenture between various members of the Newhall family of Detroit and the Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company. The document consists of four typewritten pages which describe the sale of a parcel of land on Grosse Ile by the Newhalls to Dunbar & Sullivan for one dollar. The indenture included a legal description of the land along with signatures of the Newhalls, witnesses, and a notary public. The four pages were bound together in a legal-style, gray/tan paper binder which has two brass grommets at the top edge. Typewritten text on the outside of the binder reads "Elbridge G. Newhall, Jr., et al. to Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company" and includes a black ink stamp from the Register of Deeds Office, Wayne County, which was signed by Otto Stoll and dated February 1, 1932. The indenture was recorded in Liber 3716, Page 165 at the Register of Deeds Office.
