Invitation card to the First Annual Fireman's Ball held by the Association of Ex-Members Detroit Steam Fire Department at the Light Guard Armory (noted in the invite as formerly being Fireman's Hall), on Friday, February 14, 1896, printed in red on pink. A green illustration of a horse-drawn fire engine serves as the background. It has been embossed with both a notary public seal, and one consisting of a loop of fire hose encircling a ladder, and a crossed hook, ax, and bugles. The ticket price is listed as $1.
