Invitation

Invitation to the unveiling of the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, printed with a message from the Committee on Invitations Chairman, Russell A. Alger. The invitation had been half folded, on one only face printed upon, then folded again in thirds. The invitation reads:

Michigan Soldiers and Sailors Monument

Detroit, 6th March, 1872

Sir

You are respectfully invited to attend the Ceremony of unveiling the Monument at this place; Tuesday, April 9th, 1872 at 1 o'clock P.M.

Please notify us at once if you accept and oblige.
