Invitation

Half-folded invitation, reply card, and envelope for the unveiling of the Old Newsboys' Goodfellow Hall of Fame at the Detroit Historical Museum, on October 28, 1963, in honor of the organization's 50th anniversary. The invitation was either folded inside out or printed with a gold foil interior printed with the Burt Thomas illustration "The Boy He Used to Be," and the exterior with the text of the invitation and a list of contributors to the organization. The envelope is addressed to John M. Chavis, the Curator of Education of the Detroit Historical Museum. The recto of the reply card is pre-addressed to Judge John P. Scallen, and the verso is printed with blanks for attendees to check and fill in their number of guests.
