Packet of information, mailed by the Department of Street Railways to Helen L. Brown of Detroit, urging for the passage of Department of Street Railways Charter Amendment A to grant budgetary control of the D.S.R. to the Common Council. The packet includes the mailing envelope, a printed letter, the pamphlet "Facts About D.S.R. Charter Amendment A," and the pamphlet "'A is For All of Us, For D.S.R. and All Detroiters." The envelope is postmarked October 29, 1969, and is printed with the return address of the D.S.R., as well as an advertisement for D.S.R. Chartered Service on the verso. The letter is from Robert E. Toohey, addressed "Dear Absentee Voter," and on Department of Street Railways stationery. "Facts About D.S.R. Charter Amendment A," is a trifolded pamphlet containing a series of questions and answers about the amendment. "A is For All of Us..." is a trifolded pamphlet containing a series of brief statements concerning the benefit of the amendment's passage to motorists, shoppers, workers, senior citizens, students, businesses, and the D.S.R.
