Letter
One five-page draft letter that was written by Jack Kevorkian, M.D., to the Supreme Court of the United States. The letter is handwritten in black pen and some black pencil on white "Prisoner Stationery" that was issued by the "Michigan Department of Corrections." There are numerous revisions and all of the text was written on the blank verso side of the sheet except for page one which included some pencil notes on the pre-printed lines on the recto. The letter discusses "the issue of medical euthanasia" and was written by Dr. Kevorkian while he was a prisoner at the Charles E. Egeler Correctional Facility in Jackson, Michigan. The first page of the letter has a "Post-It" note in the upper right corner which shows the address of the Supreme Court. An accompanying envelope (unsealed) is addressed to "Hon. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Justice, Supreme Court of the United States."
