Letter
Handwritten letter from Joe T. Valpey to Hazel Pingree Depew, written in response to an article she wrote for the Detroit News. The note reads:
Marlette Mich.
March 31st 1931
My Dear Mrs. Depew:-
I have just finishing reading your articles in the News of march 30th.
This article also brought many memories back to me besides, "Pingree's Potato Patch;" such a s, Willis School, Miss Holbrook, Miss Sabine, Miss Watkins, teachers, Sherman [Depew] and I playing together at his home on Woodward, also the Hecker boys, and the pony tied out in front of the school and your speaking to Evertt P. Also but not least Joe's trip East with the nurses.
Reading this in the paper has given me much pleasure.
Most Sincerely Yours,
Joe T. Valpey
