Plaza [?] eve
My Dear Sister,
I have just got my body[?] in bed and she is talking like a snapper[?]. It is my [?] to get her [?] down. I usually put the light very low, me, I have a soft light now with a green shade, rather I have had it but did not know how to use it [?]. Sent some one up to fix it and it is a great comfort. I hang a paper cover the light [?] I can read or write if I am [?] tired as I usually am, when I get her in bed, but I [?] is away & I cannot have my [?] which usually comes at quarter of nine. Dr. has gone some where to begin this Friday morning. M. is whistling. She practices it a good deal lately. She surely makes out quite a while, but I wish she would put if off till tomorrow. I took her some Schwartz this morning. I took her to [?] and I did not know as [?] I would hers any clothes left on me when I get out. I [?] first one way then another [?] day. She [?] looks [?] buy me stuff. I [?] I am their [?] so attractive. So many wonderful toys and such beautiful animals that would nod their heads in the most [?] way. [?] M. was fairly wild and she said she would like to buy my doll [?], but [?] I did not buy a thing. Everything is too expensive, but from this we went to 23rd St. ([?] the car of course_ and there [?] was over come again, my [?] was jerked [?] and I looked to see what was the matter, and it was the man on the [?] toys, one was a mouse that ran along by pushing a string up & down, I purchased the mouse and it kept me busy, for [?]. glad & the rubber comes off & [?] but it has offered her a good deal of amusement. I got a book for her at Daltons, which I read through before she went to bed. She remembers the stories wonderfully. She likes the story about the man getting his hair cut, as she [?].[?] cute for anything it pleases the doctor.
The bell boy Henry is just as nice to her as he can be. He is very intelligent and my [?] and she [?] with the bell when ever she gets a chance to talk to henry and [?] maid is very [?] Katie. She tells M. wonderful stories and draws pictures for her when she has time. [?] be better [?] only one thing troubles me. We have a lovely large room, which [?] usually been [?] as a parlor[?], [?] and a chandelier & side lights and every thing for convenient and they told [?]. [?] as long as I liked [?] the doctor wants very much the third room (Miss Eddy's room) and there is no other room on the sixth floor she could have but this, [?] she [?] want, and she says if I [?] leave some where else she will [?] her room and she will give him her room and she [?] this, [?] for [?] & comforted[?][?] and I can [?] M. [?] room if I don't happen [?] and the attendants there [?] is M. and just I [?] Dr. [?] angry as well when I know they want me to give up the rooms. & I don't know what I should do [?] I have the final rights to it but there it is [?] be crowded in a small room.
