Typewritten letter from Walter O. Lloyd to Charles R. Cowdin written on August 19, 1952 to accompany an oil painting of Cowdin on the occasion of his 90th birthday. Lloyd calls Cowdin his "loyal friend," "founder, Detroit No. 1 Kiwanis Club," and "the grandfather of Kiwanis." The letter is on yellow paper with a handwritten salutation and signature.
