Headquarters, Michigan Military Academy

One letter, dated May 15, 1901, (with envelope and list) from J. Sumner Rogers of the Michigan Military Academy of Orchard Lake, Michigan, to Henry H. Noble of Elk Rapids, Michigan. The letter is printed in blue typewritten text on a sheet of light tan letterhead paper that is watermarked "Pure Linen Stock."

Also enclosed is a 14-page list of "Graduates of Michigan Military Academy." The list is printed in black text on white paper and gives the names of graduates, class year (from 1878 to 1900), occupation, and address. Graduate names are arranged alphabetically by last name.

The letter-size envelope is made of light tan heavyweight paper and shows a decorative engraved address and the State of Michigan seal near the upper left corner. A 4-cent stamp is affixed at the upper right corner and has a postmark with black text that reads "Orchard Lake, Mich., May 21, 8 AM, 1901."
