1 - Black and white lithograph on yellowed paper entitled: "Detroit in 1820, With View of 'Walk-In-The-Water.". Printed in the lower left corner: "Corrie's Detroit Lithographic Office", printed text in the lower right corner: "The vessel from an original painting.", based on an original sketch by George Washington Whistler. The view is looking from the Sandwich (Windsor), Ontario side toward the Detroit shoreline.along with several spectators who are watching the sidewheel steamship, "Walk-in-the-Water," while it is underway on the Detroit River. Several sailing vessels are also underway on the river and the City of Detroit can be seen on the far shore.
It is very similar, but not identical, to object number 2013.042.393.
