The New Haven Railroad Rider's Digest

One copy of The New Haven Railroad Rider's Digest from August 1943. The front cover shows a photograph of performers from the WJZ Victory Troop with a caption that reads, "All out for Shangri-La. These famous radio, stage and screen stars entertained over 23,000 patriotic citizens of New Haven who attended the 'Shangri-La Airplane Carrier' Bond Rally at the Yale Bowl." The rest of the issue includes illustrations and notes reminding citizens of New Haven that trains were likely to be crowded by service men. Citizens were also offered advice on how to help the war effort.
