The softcover manual has a black simulated leather cover with gold-colored text for the title. The number, "381," is stamped in matching text in the lower right corner. A 2-ring metal binder is located on the interior spine which holds approximately 100 leaves of paper that are printed on both sides with black text. The pages are all numbered and dated at the top. The text covers various inspection procedures that were to be followed during the manufacture and assembly of parts for aircraft engines for the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. An index is shown on the first four pages.
