Half-folded J.L. Hudson Company Dining Rooms menu, dated July 19, 1949, bearing the painting "Skiing at Caberfae," by Carlos Lopez on the front cover surrounded by a pink border. The painting depicts skiiers at Caberfae Peaks in Cadillac and was part of the Michigan on Canvas touring exhibit put together by the J.L. Hudson Company. A passage on the back cover explains both the exhibit and the painting. Within the menu is divided into the sections "Soups and Appetizers," "Shopper's Luncheon One Dollar," "Sandwiches," "Desserts," "Fruits," "Hudson Made Ice Cream and Sundaes," and "Beverages." A note along the bottom of the menu's interior informs, "Detroit's Police Department asks everyone's help in its traffic safety program, "Watch Out For Kids."
